New year, new us, same heart!
We are thrilled to announce that PCMH has rebranded with a new name and refreshed look! Beginning in 2026, PCMH (formerly Parents for Children’s Mental Health) is now known as Parents and Caregivers for Mental Health.
This subtle yet meaningful change was made to better reflect who we are and who we serve, strengthening support for children, youth, and families in Ontario.
As our community has grown over the last 30 years, we have received much feedback from parents, caregivers, community members, and professionals, which informed the decision to make this important update. The rebranding process involved consultations with parents and caregivers in our network, our Family Advisory Council, and input from CMHO leadership. Embedding the lived expertise of families is integral to the work we do.
While our name and look have changed, our values haven’t. Our mission has always been clear: supporting parents, caregivers, and families caring for children and youth with mental health challenges. Everything we do is grounded in evidence, lived experience, and compassion.
We will continue to support, educate, and empower families in our peer support program, now called Caregiver Connection. Peer support is available for families through one-to-one and group meetings led by parents and caregivers with lived expertise. Our website remains a trusted resource for information, tools, and navigation support, and our webinars continue to bring together experts and families to share practical guidance.
PCMH remains a steady, supportive community built on empathy, understanding, and connection. We’re grateful to continue walking alongside families across Ontario, now with a refreshed identity that reflects the strength and resilience of the community we serve.
