SUMMARY:School Attendance Challenges
DESCRIPTION:This webinar explores school attendance in Canada—what it is\, why it matters\, and how it affects families. While attendance challenges often stem from factors beyond a family’s control\, caregivers can still play an important role in supporting their child. The session will share information and resources to help families as they navigate these challenges. \nNatasha McBrearty (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist with more than 20 years of experience in the child and youth mental health sector. She is currently completing her PhD in Population Health at the University of Ottawa\, where her research focuses on the intersection of mental health and school attendance. Beyond her professional and academic work\, Natasha is the mother of three children\, including one who struggled with school attendance—an experience that continues to shape her passion and perspective. \nThis webinar will be available on-demand. This means that individuals who register for this webinar will receive the webinar recording link directly to their inbox so you can watch at your convenience. Data and information collected in this form will not be distributed or shared beyond Parents for Children’s Mental Health. \nRegister HERE to receive the pre-recorded webinar link directly in your inbox!
